The beautiful light illuminates the beautiful landscapes where lovers enjoy the night, perhaps on a river cruise on the Seine river after sunset. Eiffel tower

When Gustave Eiffel designed his namesake tower, he cleverly included a private apartment for himself where he hosted famous guests, like Thomas Edison. The apartment is now open for the public to visit. If you’re brave enough to reach the top of the Tower, reward yourself with a glass of champagne from the Champagne Bar built on the top floor. There’s nothing like a glass of bubbly with a spectacular view. Underneath the Tower’s south pillar sits a snug bit of history—a secret military bunker that is connected to the nearby Ecole Militaire via a long tunnel. The bunker has now been turned into a small museum and tour groups can explore the diminutive space. The Eiffel tower changes in color all the time and sparkles during the festive season. A must-see during your trip in Paris.

Arc de Triomphe

The Arc de Triomphe de l’Étoile is one of the most famous monuments in Paris, standing at the western end of the Champs-Élysées at the center of Place Charles de Gaulle’. If you look on one side you will find Grande Arche de la Défence and on the other side you will find the Palace de la Concorde and a bit further up you will spot the Louvre. At every turn, you’ll be delighted to recognize yet another piece of history ranging from pop culture to classic history. Musée de l’Armée. Historical Army Museum. It contains 500,000 objects, including weapons, armor, artillery, uniforms, emblems, and paintings. Another big attraction is the magnificent Tomb of Napoléon.

If you love to see the architecture of the most famous churches in the world, then the Sacre-Coeur should be on top of your list. It is located at the summit of the butte Montmartre, the highest point in the city. This masterpiece was inspired by churches such as Saint Sofia in Constantinople and San Marco in Venice. Unfortunately, the Notre-Dame cathedral was destroyed during a fire in April 2019. It is arguably the most famous cathedral in Paris, if not in the world. The Madeleine Church was inspired by Nimes’ Maison Carree, one of the best-preserved Roman temples, this neo-classical building has not always been considered as a church. It was first commissioned by Napoleon as a memorial, a “Temple to the Glory of the Great Army.” The Cathedral Basilica of Saint-Denis located in Saint-Denis, a northern suburb of Paris, this medieval cathedral is the final resting place for nearly every French king and queen from the 7th century through the 19th century.

Seine cruise

As mentioned previously, love birds cannot miss a cruise on the seine. The lifeblood of Paris, the River ‘Seine’ plays many roles in the city: It separates the Right Bank from the Left Bank, acting as a dividing line between Paris’ historically sophisticated and bohemian halves; it provides transportation via riverboat and plenty of opportunity for romantic strolls. Its riverbanks are a UNESCO World Heritage Site lined with the city’s top landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Musée d’Orsay, Jardin des Tuileries, and the Louvre.

Moulin Rouge

When you think of Paris, you think of love and entertainment. If you mix those two fantastic ingredients, you end up in the Moulin Rouge which is best known as the birthplace of the modern form of the can-can dance. Originally introduced as a seductive dance by the courtesans who operated from the site, the can-can dance revue evolved into a form of entertainment of its own and led to the introduction of cabarets across Europe. Today, the Moulin Rouge is a tourist attraction, offering musical dance entertainment for visitors from around the world. The club’s decor still contains much of the romance of fin de siècle France.
